Please avoid the area around C-470 and Bowles Avenue as West Metro Fire Department battles a grass fire on the Hogback.
C-470 Eastbound at Bowles is currently CLOSED because of the fire and there are serious traffic delays. Please avoid the area if you can.
No structures are currently threatened, but we have sent out a CodeRed evacuation targeting 3800 phones for the Ken Caryl Valley for the Level 1 BE READY evacuation.
Air support is dropping water on the fire, which is now 10 to 15 acres in size.
