Our crews have ID'd the source of the outage. They must first patrol lines, but are working to reroute power ASAP.

There have been discussions on the scanner about the intersection at Pine Junction. One of the responders mentioned that some cars were just going right through without stopping. IREA doesn't want to put out temporary stop signs because it caused confusion and an accident once power was restored the last time they did that.

Please remember that if the stop lights are out, to treat it as a 4-way stop unless law enforcement personnel are there directing traffic.

Equipment failure at one of our substations has been identified as the cause of the outage. Crews continue to work to restore service ASAP.

Per IREA, 7:15 p.m.
Service already has been restored to some customers, and we ask that those previously without power please minimize their electrical use as we continue working. This will help us more quickly restore service to those still without.
