We have sad news to pass along. We learned today that the fatal accident last night involved 4 Platte Canyon High School students. One student was killed, the other 3 injured. Our hearts go out to all of the friends and family of the students, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
There is a prayer night being held tonight at Crow Hill Bible Church, 7pm. All are welcome.

Dear Platte Canyon Parents and Families:
Today is a difficult day for our community. It is with sadness that I inform you that four of our high school students were involved in a car accident last evening. One of our students, Gabe Smith, died from injuries suffered as a result of the accident. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families of all four students involved. Please be assured that our high school is prepared to support your student with grief counseling and grief support. Students will have varied reactions to the death of a peer. Typical reactions can range from withdrawal to crying to anger. It may be helpful to openly discuss with your child their reactions and feelings regarding this loss. If you think your child needs additional counseling support, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
