From a neighbor with best view of fire - Update: chopper picked up and dropped several buckets of water but is now gone. Smoke and flames still visible; wind shifted to east.

Crews are shutting down for the night, one crew of 6 will remain on the fire. The plan is to not shut down the river tomorrow, and they don't think they will need air support.

If we hear anything else, we'll update it here. Otherwise, we'll pick up again tomorrow.

#RamonaFire is now 70% contained. 40 firefighters, 2 helicopters, 3 SEAT, 1 Air Attack worked fire today. Crews will remain on fire tonight

Due to better mapping #RamonaFire size has been reduced to 1.5 acres. @NorthForkFire @jeffcosheriffco and PSICC resources worked fire today

Today when I was headed to Conifer saw 4 forest trucks coming out at Pine Junction. Thanks to all involved we love ya even though we don't say it all the time.
