Per cosmiccowboy55: sounds like a fire north of Chair Rock. North Fork Fire is waiting for better direction while Elk Creek and Inter-canyon are working on spotting it. Multiple RP on this. May be in the area of Foxton and River Road, USFS is also out looking.

All Elk Creek Fire units are staging at Station 1. Fire is on the top of a ridge, just north of FS 538.

Per cosmiccowboy55: USFS has a helo over the fire which is about an acre in size. The fire is on forest Service land with North Fork in support.

They are closing the river to rafters/kayakers as a precaution due to the safety lines they are putting across.
