Update on fire: 0.83 acres in size, mostly creeping and smoldering with some active flare ups in the interior. A few trees have torched, but they were out by the time the firefighters got to them. They are consolidating operations staging to Rockland, working to send home some of the outside agencies.

Crews have gotten a line around ~60% of the fire.

US 40 now re-opened; however, horrible backups remain on I-70 and Jeffco Sheriff recommends avoiding that route if at all possible.

If you can avoid I-70 westbound near MM 254 right now, it's a good time to do so #JeffCo #Traffic
