We are currently working an incident involving a barricaded suspect in the 29000 block of Pine Rd in Evergreen. Buffalo Park Rd is closed at the high school. Media staging is east parking lot of high school.
Authorities believe the suspect has access to a sword.
The sheriff’s office said they responded to a report of a disturbance around 1 a.m. There were four people inside the home originally, but now just the suspect remains.
The other three people inside the home sustained minor injuries but none were transported, authorities said.
KUSA - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is working to negotiate with a suspect who is barricaded inside of an Evergreen home early Wednesday morning after allegedly attacking three people at a party with what's believed to be a sword or fireplace poker.
Fulton says the alleged attack occurred at around 1 a.m., and that all three victims have been able to escape the home and weren’t seriously injured.

This incident happening in the vicinity of Wulf Rec Center is NOT affecting the facility. We are open and all classes and programs are happening as scheduled today (12/27). Jeffco Sheriff has closed down part of Buffalo Park Road and diverted traffic through Evergreen High School and Wulf parking lot. But WRC is OPEN.

#BREAKING Standoff suspect: David Charles Roberts, 30, of Evergreen was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He has a warrant related to a DUI. Three other occupants received minor injuries; were not transported. Standoff lasted about 9 hours.
