CRASH - Serous crash on US 285 between Pine Junction and Elk Creek Rd, near milepost 230. Be alert for traffic detours and possible closures. SB temporarily closed.

Head on accident involving a Jeffco Sheriff's Office deputy, deputy being transported as precaution.

All lanes open US 285 at MM 228 Pine Junction following crash clean up.

Scary Snow Crash

We’re thankful to report that though this accident involving one of our deputies and a citizen looks pretty bad, the injuries are minor.

The crash occurred a little while ago on Highway 285 near Elk Creek Road with a single driver in both vehicles.

Both deputy and citizen were transported to the hospital for treatment and Colorado State Patrol is investigating.
