...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS TODAY...

.Snow will increase over the northern Colorado mountains this morning, and over the Interstate 70 corridor and the central mountains during the middle of the day. While the snow will generally be light, there may be a period of brief heavier snow. This will be most likely north of Berthoud pass this morning, along Interstate 70 in the middle of the day, and south of Interstate 70 this afternoon. The snow will end from north to south this evening. Motorists should be prepared for wintery driving conditions. Allow extra time for slower driving, and check the latest road and weather conditions before heading out.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches, with localized amounts up to 8 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM MST this afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
