Elk Creek Fire has confirmed a wildland fire in the 34000 block of Circle Dr just west of Staunton State Park.

Requested brush truck and tender mutual aid from Evergreen Fire

From Elk Creek Fire: Elk Creek Fire is dispatched to a wildland fire near Staunton State Park. It is the High View Fire, it is 1/10th of an acre at this time with crews putting in line and mutual aid resources responding.

Line secured around peremeter of fire by Elk Creek, additional units routine response and mutual aid canceled.


State park representatives are en route, as this may be on Staunton State Park land and in their jurisdiction.
