Wildfire Evacuation Drill, May 5th 2018, in Burland Ranchettes

Park County Sheriff’s Office, Fairplay Dispatch Center and Platte Canyon Fire Protection District are running a Wildfire Evacuation Drill, May 5th 2018 starting around 10:30 am. The drill will take place this year in the areas of the Burland Ranchettes subdivision and will involve a simulated evacuation of homes under wildfire threat. Participation of Residents is voluntary, but highly encouraged.
All district residents are highly encouraged to enrolled their phone numbers in the county’s emergency alert system, linked below. This free and easy enrollment allows a homeowner to be notified for evacuations.
Any questions about the drill can be directed at Platte Canyon Fire Station 2, 303-838-5853.
