ADVISORY- The National Weather Service forecasts widespread snow to develop tonight on the I-70 Mountain Corridor and continue into Saturday. The heaviest snow and strongest winds are expected to occur Friday morning and continue for several days. Expect mountain roads to become snow covered and slippery with Traction and Chain Laws in effect by tonight and those conditions to last through Saturday. Safety closures are likely be prepared for winter driving conditions.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO MIDNIGHT MDT FRIDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches, with localized amounts up to 14 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to midnight MDT Friday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will increase later this evening and may be heavy at times late tonight through Friday morning. Plan on slick and hazardous winter travel conditions. Expect reduced visibilities at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
