Update to the Park County Alert:
Latest Update:
May 10, 2018 4:51 PM
This is an emergency notification to advise residents within one mile of the intersection at Camp Creek Road and Park County Road 43. Residents are encouraged to remove livestock and pets out of the area, and to prepare for a full evacuation. Evacuations are voluntary, but residents are encouraged to leave if concerned.
There are reports of someone flying a drone in the area of the fire which is causing the USFS to ground the helicopter. Whomever is flying a drone needs to stop right now - they will ground all aircraft fighting this fire if drones are in the air.
Ground crews are heading into the fire and the helicopter was brought back after the drone was grounded. Thank you to whomever was flying it for getting it down quickly.
