Devil's Head Fire - aka Long Hollow Fire

There's a wildland fire approximately 9 miles northeast of Decker's near Devil's Head. They are calling it Devil's Head Fire, initial rough estimate of size is 5 acres. We'll update if we hear anymore.

This map shows the location of Devil's Head, not the actual location of the fire. Including it here for reference as to where this fire is located in relation to Deckers and Pine.

Size of the fire now being reported as 1.5 acres.

The fire is located on the south side of Devil's Head and has another reported name of Long Hollow Fire. They have air support on it, at least one tanker, per nearby residents.

Update on the fire: Size is 2 acres, cause is unknown, burning in grass fuels.

Resources: Forest Service and multiple Douglas County cooperative resources. There were two Large Airtanker drops and two type 3 helicopters doing water drops.

Update: Tuesday 18, 1:45 pm
Numerous resources are on the fire constructing and improving fire-line. There's two type 2 crews along with several engines. Fire is now reported at 5.2 acres.

Two 20 person fire crews are back on the #LongHollowfire working to gain containment and mopping up hot spots. Fire has not grown and is still at 5.2 acres.
