...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW LATE TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...

.A strong upper level jet stream will bring a period of snow and strong winds to the northern mountains beginning late tonight. The snow and blowing snow will result in low visibilities leading to hazardous travel conditions for Rabbit Ears Pass, Berthoud Pass, the approaches to Eisenhower Tunnel and Vail Pass.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 PM MST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches expected. Higher amounts possible north of Rabbit Ears Pass. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph.

* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.

* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 5 PM MST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow should significantly reduce visibility.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
