...Snow, gusty winds and much colder temperatures late tonight and Monday...

Widespread light to moderate snow is expected across much of the region late tonight and Monday, then decreasing Monday night. Along the Urban Corridor the highest amounts will occur from around Denver west into the foothills and south towards Monument Ridge. Storm totals in these areas will range from 3 to 7 inches. Driving conditions will be hazardous at times. In addition areas of blowing snow, colder temperatures and dangerous wind chills can be expected.

Across the rest of the region primarily north and east of Denver, storm totals will range from 1 to 2 inches.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 5 PM MST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches expected.

* WHERE...The Northern Front Range Foothills, The Southern Front Range Foothills, Boulder and the western suburbs of Denver, Denver and Castle Rock.

* WHEN...From 5 AM to 5 PM MST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
