Passenger vehicle traction law
- US 285 in both directions between County Road 35 (Kenosha Pass) and Wandcrest Av (1 mile south of Pine Junction).
- US 6 Westbound / Eastbound Loveland Pass (Milemarker 220-229)
- CO 9 Southbound / Northbound Hoosier Pass (Milemarker 73-80)
Passenger vehicles are required to have mud or snow tires or use chains or alternative traction devices or be a four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle.

Commercial vehicle chain law
- US 285 in both directions between MM 183 and Wandcrest Av
- CO 9 NB/SB between MM 73 and MM 80.
Chains or alternative traction devices required for all commercial motor vehicles including buses and vans of 16 or more passenger capacity.

@plattecanyonfd Crews responding to report of a single vehicle mvc/ motor vehicle crash/roll over #hwy285 mm 206. Please be careful and avoid the area if possible.

*note MM 206 is on the north side of Kenosha Pass summit, one mile past the Webster/Wilderness on Wheels area.

Platte Canyon Fire ambulance on scene of accident at MM 207. Currently sitting in southbound traffic, requesting additional apparatus en route to go slightly past turn around and block traffic for safety. Jefferson-Como Fire Dept just arrived, but will return to quarters. Standing down all personnel not on scene.

There's a two vehicle accident, one a rollover, on Hwy 285 at MM 187.5 (between Como and Fairplay) that has the southbound lane blocked. Please be careful going through there.

Crews came upon another single vehicle mvc/ motor vehicle crash, car in the river w/ occupant trapped #Hwy 285 approx mm 221, additional personnel requested.
