Passenger vehicle chain law
US 285 in both directions between MM 183 (Fairplay) and MM 208 (Kenosha Pass).
- US 6 in both directions between MM 220 and MM 229 (Loveland Pass).

I-70 Westbound / Eastbound between Silverthorne and Bakerville (Milemarker 205-221)

Passenger vehicles are required to have snow or mud/snow tires, use chains/alternative traction devices, or be a 4WD/AWD vehicle.

Commercial vehicle chain law
- US 285 in both directions between MM 183 (Fairplay) and MM 208 (Kenosha Pass).
- CO 9 in both directions between County Road 4 (near Hoosier Pass) and Riverpark Dr (Breckenridge).
- US 6 in both directions between MM 220 and MM 229 (Loveland Pass).
- I-70 Eastbound Silverthorne to Eisenhower Tunnel (Milemarker 205-213)
- I-70 Eastbound Vail to Vail Pass Summit (Milemarker 178-190)

Chains or alternative traction devices required for all commercial motor vehicles including buses and vans of 16 or more passenger capacity.

Adverse weather
US 285 SB between CO 9 and Platte Dr. Traffic delays in area. Icy roads, use caution. Slower speeds advised.

ROAD CLOSED
- I-70 WB: Safety closure at MM 215. Due to crash west of tunnel.

- I-70 Eastbound Vail (Milemarker 176)
Safety concerns on Vail Pass. No estimated time to open. Alternate route US 24 to CO 91.

Until further notice, CSP will respond only to accidents with injuries, accidents involving disabled vehicles due to damage, accidents with damage to public property, accidents involving DUIs and hit and run accidents.

For all other accidents, please report the incident at the nearest CSP office Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or online at www.colorado.gov/csp

Per CSP: US Hwy 285 is closed between Fairplay and the top of Kenosha Pass Milepost 182 to 203, zero visibility, blowing and drifting snow, blizzard conditions.
