Passenger Vehicle Traction Law
  • I-70 Westbound / Eastbound between Silverthorne and Georgetown (Milemarker 205-228)
  • I-70 Westbound / Eastbound Georgetown to Morrison (Milemarker 228-259)
  • US 6 Westbound / Eastbound Loveland Pass (Milemarker 220-229)
  • US 285 Southbound / Northbound 208 (Milemarker 199-208)
Passenger vehicles are required to have snow or mud/snow tires, use chains/alternative traction devices, or be a 4WD/AWD vehicle.

Commercial Vehicle Chain Law
  • I-70 Westbound Georgetown to Eisenhower Tunnel (Milemarker 228-215)
  • US 6 Westbound / Eastbound Loveland Pass (Milemarker 220-229)
  • US 285 Southbound / Northbound Kenosha Pass (Milemarker 199-208)
Chains or alternative traction devices (ATDs) required for all CMV, including buses and vans of 16+ capacity.

Road Conditions
CO 9 Southbound / Northbound Hoosier Pass (Milemarker 73-86)
Roads May Be Icy, Slower Speeds Advised

Kenosha Pass is extremely icy. Even in an AWD vehicle traveling at 25-30mph I spun out near Webster. Other tracks indicated I wasn’t the only one. Be extra careful if you must travel that way tonight!

Thank you for the warning Bailey2364, we'll pass it along to CDOT on Twitter and hope they can send additional crews to treat the roads. The highway is backed up approaching Kenosha Pass.
