MMT Severe Weather Update June 17

MMT Weather Update from Chief Meteorologist Steve Hamilton:
The Storm Prediction Center has what we call a "Mesoscale Discussion" posted for the Front Range Foothills and adjacent Denver Metro Area. Conditions are being monitored for the possibility of severe thunderstorms this afternoon. Wind shear is fairly weak, but there is plenty of heat and moisture in the atmosphere for strong to severe storms over the foothills this afternoon. Large hail will be the biggest threat. A "watch" may be issued shortly, but you should prepare now. -Meteorologist Steve Hamilton
