...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE LOWER ELEVATIONS OF JACKSON...GRAND...SUMMIT AND PARK COUNTIES...

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 211...213 and 214.

* Winds...West 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Timing...Gusty winds and low humidities will develop around Noon Friday and continue until early evening.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 14 percent.

* Impacts...Fires will start easily and spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
