UPDATE #BaldMountainFire the fire did not grow throughout the night and remains at 25 acres. No active flames right now, crews will be targeting hot spots. Highway 6 will remain closed until crews are done working. Thank you for staying out of the area while fire crews work.

Firefighters begin to arrive at the #BaldMountainFire to prepare for a second day of hard work. Terrain is a challenge, grass, brush and trees fuel the fire and large areas of unturned fuel are a risk.

These are the latest images from the Multi Mission Aircraft flyover. It shows that the #BaldMountainFire fire is now down to 17 acres. We hope to have an update on containment soon as well #jeffco @efr_co

Firefighters prepare for water transfer from water tenders (tanker trucks carry approx 2000 gallons) to Type 6 fire trucks (carry 300 gallons in heavy duty pickup fire trucks). Access to the fire is difficult for large trucks & all water must be trucked to #BaldMountainFire
