Elk Creek Fire and Jeffco Sheriff’s Office have responded to a despondent male who has fired shots in the air. Please avoid the area of Harmon Rd off of Parker Ave. This is north of US 285 at Mt Evans Blvd, Pine Junction

From Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office:
Deputies are responding to a domestic disturbance in involving shots fired in 33000 blk of Harmon Rd in Pine. No injuries reported; suspect refusing to come out. Shelter in place issued for neighboring area. Please avoid the area.

Law enforcement activity is still going on in the area, but the shelter in place order is being lifted. Please continue to avoid the area if possible.

Edit to add from Jeffco Sheriff:
Update on disturbance/barricaded suspect in Pine: suspect sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Transported with non-life threatening injury. No one else was injured. Shelter in place has been lifted. No further updates expected today.

In addition to the regional SWAT team and JCSO Animal Control, we appreciate the assistance from @CSP_News, Parker County Sheriff, and @ElkCreekFire during this morning’s disturbance/barricaded suspect incident.
