C470 CLOSURE
Ramp from westbound (north) into Golden and US is closed. A semi has crashed and is leaking fuel. This will be an extended closure due to the HazMat cleanup.

All C470 westbound traffic is being diverted to I-70 eastbound.

I-70 Westbound / Eastbound between Idaho Springs and Denver/C-470 (Milemarker 241-259)

Estimated time of closure of C470 for clean up is 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Accident - vehicle slid off the road - Hwy 285 NB at MM 239.5 just north of Meyer Ranch Open Space Park. Inter-Canyon Fire has located the vehicle, confirmed it is in Elk Creek Fire's district, Elk Creek Fire en route.

Edit to update:
Elk Creek Fire Medic 481 on scene, vehicle upright and approximately 20' down the embankment.

Jack-knifed semi reported at Hwy 185 NB at Light Ln. (Conifer Towne Center)

Edit to update: only one lane getting by at this time, per eyewitness.

CDOT and CSP are going to temporarily block 285 NB so the semi can attempt to get straightened out and on their way.

Commercial Vehicle Chain Law
US 285 Southbound / Northbound between Pine Jct. and Morrison (Milemarker 229-250)
Chains or alternative traction devices (ATDs) required for all CMV, including buses and vans of 16+ capacity.

CDOT was able to get the semi moved into the median, the roadway is re-opened. Traffic is backed up quite a ways heading northbound.
