My Mountain Town Weather Update:
A few severe thunderstorms are possible for the eastern Front Range Foothills this afternoon, but mainly over the Denver metro area. Thunderstorms with gusty wind and some hail should occur from early afternoon into early evening. Thunderstorms will start up once convection is able to break through some stable layers of the atmosphere. These storms are expected to begin as non-severe over the foothills, but will gain strength as they move out over the Denver area, and possibly become severe once they reach the northeast plains. (Green circled area.)
Still, some small hail and gusty wind will be possible with some of these storms over the foothills as they get rolling.
