...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE SOUTHERN FOOTHILLS AND SOUTH PARK...FIRE WEATHER ZONES 214 AND 216...

* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 214 and 216.

* Winds...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Timing...Critical conditions from noon until 9 pm this evening.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 13 percent.

* Impacts...Rapid fire spread and growth will be possible in this windy and dry airmass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
