#Chatridge2Fire - Wildfire burning in Highlands Ranch, Douglas County

Douglas County Sheriff 12:12pm: 964 code red notifications sent with 706 received. Fire is approx 20+ acres threatening residential structures in the area. No residential structures lost at this time. Multiple ground and air apparatus on scene.

South Metro Fire Rescue 12:22pm: The fire is 267 acres, 60% contained, still a moderate risk of forward spread. 2 large air tankers, 2 small engine air tankers, 1 helicopter, 1 lead plane and 1 multi-mission aircraft ordered or on the fire.

1:41pm: Flames have burned to Skydance Dr. in the Back Country Community, firefighters have prevented fire extension to the neighborhood. No structures have been damaged and no injuries have occurred. Firefighting efforts continue.

#chatridge2fire Update: The fire has reached 456 acres and continues to threaten residential structures. 45+ Ground Apparatus onscene, 10+ Air Apparatus onscene to include choppers, planes, and an Air Attack Tanker.

.#Chatridge2Fire Update - Size of the Fire is now 456 acres, no update on containment. 59 units are on scene and a 3rd helicopter has arrived. Air resources are controlling the head and flanks of the fire.

Scanner: 2 more air tanker drops will be done, after that helicopters only on the fire.

No plans yet to release out-of-district resources that are staging on scene.

Update - The #Chatridge2Fire is 100% contained. No structures damaged or destroyed and no injuries occurred. The cause remains under investigation. Evacuations for the Back Country will be lifted soon.
