Evacuating nearby residents 0.5 miles directly east, Zebulon, etc. (streets per Jon Reed) as a precaution until they can get eyes on the fire.

Firefighters have a visual on it from vantage point hundreds of yards away, having trouble accessing the fire. It doesn't appear that it will be accessible from any roads around.

Firefighters are hiking in on foot, approximately 200 yards southwest of the cabin at 1860 Kootchie Kootchie Rd.
At least an acre in size
Fire more prevalent on the north side
It's a creeping ground fire getting into the trees, creeping to southeast

Have 3 engines, a squad of 5 additional firefighters arriving, and a helicopter. #KootchieKootchieFire commands says that should suffice.

Working to get a line around the fire. Helicopter has arrived, but Incident Command says helicopter may not be needed for mop up.
