Clear Creek Canyon Fire
ANOTHER EDIT - CDOT - US 6 EB/WB in Clear Creek County closed between US 40; US 6 and CO 119 due to structure fire. No estimated time to open.
We've got an exclusive video from Shelby O'Brien taken of the Clear Creek Canyon fire currently in Clear Creek County, Colorado. She was one of the last vehicles through the road closure. First responders are on-the-scene and battling the wildfire as we speak. We'll update y'all as soon as we know more.
This seems to be near the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 119 near the border of Clear Creek and Jefferson Counties (midways between Idaho Springs/Golden/Blackhawk). Please give crews and equipment their space as they work hard to defend our resources!
EDIT - this looks to be a structure fire. we're keeping our fingers crossed that all people/critters/etc... were able to evacuate safely.
