From Boulder County Sheriff:
Crews are responding to a wildfire near the Cal-Wood Education Center.

Per Boulder County OEM:
The Town of Jamestown is being evacuated due to the #CalwoodFire.

S. St. Vrain is now closed between Peak to Peak Hwy and the Town of Lyons, including Riverside Dr.

This is a map of the evacuation and pre-evacuation areas for the #CalWoodFire.


There is an evacuation check-in point set up at 3460 N. Broadway - Boulder County's North Broadway Complex at Broadway and Iris. Evacuees and pets can go there to check in and receive further information.

This is how the fire looks from Lakewood. It’s estimated at 3,000 acres (as if 1hr ago) and growing.


If anyone up there needs help evacuating large animals, please let them know they can contact the admins of the 911 Farm and Tanch Evacuation - Colorado (a grassroots community) Facebook group.

Per Boulder OEM:
Livestock (horses, cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, etc.) shelter at the Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Rd, Longmont. Pets (cats, dogs, etc.) can go with you to evacuation point at Iris/Broadway or to the Boulder Valley Humane Society, 2323 55th St, Boulder.

Pets can also be brought to the Longmont Humane Society at 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont.
