Elk Creek responded early this morning to a possible structure fire near Pine Junction. On arrival crews found an out building that was fully involved and a wildland fire. The fire was .3 of an acre and was knocked down quickly by Platte Canyon and Elk Creek fire fighters. The cause appears to be a power line transformer that malfunctioned.

In case of emergency, please dial 911.
