Fire on Grouse Ct in Evergreen, Bear Mountain area

Evergreen Fire is responding to a reported fire on Grouse Ct in the area of Bear Mountain.

Standing down additional units with exception of tenders.

Per Jim Richardson: a hot tub caught fire, crews are advising that fire is under control and no extension of wildfire to nearby woods.

EFR was alerted to a hot tub and deck on fire about 11:20 a.m. today. An EFR firefighter lives in the neighborhood and quickly got there to began using the garden hose. About 15 firefighters and 8 fire trucks arrived on-scene to fully extinguish it. Good news - no injuries; no threat to the house; and no potential of starting a wildfire. Thank you to all that called 911 to report the smoke column!
