Structure fire 34000 block Chilton Ave

Elk Creek Fire responding to reported structure fire that has spread to a second building according to Reporting Party. Inter-Canyon Fire and Platte Canyon Fire toned out for mutual aid.

Approximate location

Flames showing from alpha and bravo sides of home, approximately 50% involved, wood structure home.

All inhabitants have safely evacuated.

Extension of fire confirmed to second structure.

Knockdown on both structures at this time per Elk Creek Fire.

Crews are starting overhaul on both dwellings.

At 14:51, we were toned out to respond to a reported structure fire, with a possible second nearby structure involved. Platte Canyon Fire Protection District was first to arrive on scene and found two structures on fire, one 50% involved, the second approximately 20% involved. They started a direct attack and the fire was knocked down in approximately 30 minutes. All occupants of the two homes evacuated safely and without injury, 1 pet was rescued. No injuries to personnel, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
