The Platte Canyon Fire Department is planning to conduct controlled slash burns today, Monday December 14, 2020, dependent on conditions on site. Test fire should start around 0930.
Slash piles were constructed as part of a thinning project the wildland fire module completed on the Deer Valley Park Association property near the Bailey Disc Golf Course, off of Rosalie Rd and HWY 285.
Smoke and flames may be visible from beyond the project site during the burn but please do not report. Smoke may be visible throughout the day in the area.
