Lake George crews are planning to burn piles today with the new snow. They will start with the thinning slash piles at the Forest Service station in Lake George.
Pile burning will only be implemented if all weather and snow cover requirements are in place. Crews will monitor piles till they are out or will mop them up. Next location after the Lake George station will be Road Gulch along Cty Rd. 98, 7 miles SW of Lake George. #LkGeoRx

The test fire was completed, conditions are within prescription, and crews are burning piles in the Road Gulch area north of Cty. Rd 98 about 7 miles SW of Lake George. Smoke will be visible in the general area for several hours. #LkGeoRx
