Slash Pile Burns on Foxton Rd Area

Good morning community,

You may see smoke coming from the Foxton Rd. area today. The Elk Creek Fire Wildland Fire Suppression Module is scheduled to conduct pile burn operations in the coming days. Operations will begin today at approximately 9am. Here is some more info:

- Burning piles in the Foxton area
- Project is part of a 50 acre thinning project the Module completed in 2019
- Some smoke may be seen in the Foxton, Pleasant Park and 285 areas

The pile burn for today is cancelled due to high winds. Forecasts call for up to 50mph gusts in the afternoon.
