This will be an extended closure per crews on scene, both directions now fully closed.

US 285 is blocked in both directions just north of Pine Junction at MP 231 for an injury head-on crash.

No ETA. No good alternate routes at this time.

Both northbound lanes opening, they're going to try to get traffic moving. Please be very careful of all first responders out there.

Per Traveler Cynthia E.
NB is moving! We just passed the wrecked truck and sedan and several police cars. They’ve opened 1 Lane and are alternating between NB & SB. SB is backed up very far (the wrecked cars are in SB lane).

Current views from our webcam pages. Traffic is now north of the S. Elk Creek Rd exit at Shaffer's Crossing, but is still backed up well past Richmond Hill Rd heading southbound.

Tow truck on scene, they're blocking one of the lanes they'd had opened to load one of the vehicles. As soon as they get it cleared out (10-15min), they'll open that lane back up.
