Southbound 285 at Barclay RD. Aspen Park/Conifer
Vehicle vs. CDOT truck.
Driver trapped.
LEO and Fire in route.

Flight For Life requested, may be landing at Inter-Canyon Fire Station 3.
The vehicle involved was a glass truck so there is additional glass debris all over the roadway.

US 285 SB: Road closed between Eaglecliff Rd and Dallman Rd. Due to crash, no estimated time to open.

Elk Creek Fire Department [medical] portion of the call is complete, Engine 481 will remain on scene, command transferred to them.

Chopper will not transport, patient is a fatality. Coroner ETA is under 30 minutes.

The coroner has arrived on scene.

Per two eyewitnesses: the accident is cleaned up and traffic is moving through nicely. CDOT has not yet updated Cotrip or Twitter with this information.

One dead in U.S. 285 crash near Conifer

U.S. 285 between Eaglecliff Road and Dallman Road was still closed as of 3:30 p.m. Thursday following a deadly crash that killed a 22-year-old male.

Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, a Colorado Department of Transportation vehicle and a 20-foot box truck collided near mile marker 237, according to Colorado State Master Trooper Gary Cutler.
