Per Chief Meteorologist Steve Hamilton:
A Few Showers Wednesday And Thursday... The Main Storm Starts Friday Afternoon...
We're all focused on the major snow event, due to start Friday afternoon in northeast Colorado. Most of us aren't quite ready to pin-down local snow totals, but the NWS is stating 1 to 3 feet for our area, including Denver and the Palmer Divide, along with the foothills. This is reasonable due to the main factors, being available moisture, storm track and temperature. To be clear, there are other smaller local elements that will determine just how much we get. Unfortunately, those don't make themselves known until right before the snow starts, or even during the event. This system is large enough to bring us something significant. Snow is expected to begin Friday night, and last until at least early Sunday, so get ready.
