Elk Creek Fire and Platte Canyon Fire were called out to assist Civil Air Patrol with a search for a missing aircraft after 8pm near a latitude and longitude for which Lake Lane in Pine was closest. The aircraft’s signal can be heard, but after an extensive ground search, it hasn’t been located. Elk Creek Fire requested a flyover by Flight For Life, nothing spotted. Multi-Mission Aircraft with thermal sensing is unavailable.

Jeffco Sheriff is requesting a Search & Rescue team, unsure if they’ll begin tonight or at daybreak.

Latitude and longitude: 39°15'09.7"N 105°14'07.4"W From that location 191 degrees direction of travel at 650 ft above the ground speed was about 113 mph.
