#PlatteRiverFire: Wildland fire in Pine near Longview and Dome Rock

We were alerted that there is smoke visible from Hwy 285 looking toward Roxborough Park. There was a human-caused wildland fire reported at 2:41pm burning 5 mi NE of Buffalo Creek, size: 1.0 - 1.5 acre in USFS land. Incident # COPSF-621 P2 N2MD (0212)

Per meboreggo on Pinecam:
Small wildland fire along the river several fire depts on scene including USFS

Update 4 PM: Fire now @10 acres with some structures in the Longview and Dome Rock threatened. Air attack resources have been requested, burning on both sides of the river. Additional USFS and several mountian fire depts are enroute.

The Sheriff's Office responded to a wildfire in the area of the 17000 block of W Platte River Rd. @NorthForkFire and @ElkCreekFire are working on containing the fire. It is believed a downed power line may have started the fire. Updates will be posted when available.

North Fork Fire is working an active fire of 4-5 acres in the Dome Rock/Ramona Gulch area. You may see helicopters and air crews in the area. Residents between the hotel and Dome Rock are being evacuated.

Crews are working a wildland fire on West Platte River Rd. between Longview and the South Platte Hotel. Mutual aid, US Forest Service and numerous air resources on scene.

Platte River fire update. Notification area for immediate
evacuation. Evacuation center is Conifer High School. Large animals can be brought to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

Fire is now at 31 acres. Jefferson County ordered some evacuations. Evacuation center is at the Conifer High School. Large animals can be taken to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Type 1 Helicopter and two handcrews ordered.
