Wildland Fire near the Wild Safari Ranch in Como

Per cosmiccowboy55: there's a wildland fire reported 2 miles south of the Wild Safari Ranch south of Como. North-West Fire and Jefferson-Como Fire en route.

Scanner: Lightning strike, less than an acre in size, visible flames

Fingers crossed! Hopefully they get it under control soon.

Confirmed it is located on private land, but USFS is sending a crew.

Edit to update: USFS is standing down their crew

Safari Command: Flames in trees about 3/4 of the way up, waiting for Battalion 10 to arrive. Not much smoke coming off of the fire.

The tree that was on fire is down, crews are mopping up hot spots.

The fire has been contained and put out. Command terminated.
