Forest Estates Road Culvert Replacement (west of Brook Forest Road), Evergreen, CO 80439

Project Background:

In July 2021, the existing corrugated metal pipe failed during a heavy local rain event. The county installed plastic pipes and steel plates as a temporary measure to allow traffic until the permanent design could be completed.
Project Scope:
The existing corrugated metal pipe will be replaced with an elliptical concrete pipe. The installed concrete pipe culvert will also have Redi-Rock wingwalls. The project also includes installing riprap areas on the upstream and downstream sides of the culvert for erosion protection.
Project Schedule:
The project will be completed by the end of October.
Project Impact on Traffic:
For the duration of the project, the job location of Forest Estates Road will have signalized single travel lanes. Expect minor delays while waiting for the signal.
