Passenger Vehicle Traction Law
  • I-70 WB/EB between Exit 203 - CO 9; East Frisco and Exit 221 - Bakerville.
Passenger vehicles are required to have mud or snow tires or use chains or alternative traction devices or be a four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle.

Commercial Vehicle Chain Law
  • US 285 (Hampden Ave) northbound and southbound between Willard Street and Geneva Creek (near Kenosha Pass) from Mile Point 199 to Mile Point 208.

  • I-70 eastbound between Exit 203 - CO 9; East Frisco and Exit 216 - US 6; Loveland Pass.

  • I-70 westbound between Exit 221 - Bakerville and Exit 205 - CO 9; US 6; Silverthorne.
Chains or alternative traction devices required for all commercial motor vehicles including buses and vans of 16 or more passenger capacity.

Accident
I-70 westbound: Left lane closed due to a crash between Exit 218 - Herman Gulch and Exit 216 - US 6; Loveland Pass.

I-70 eastbound: Roadway reopened to traffic between Exit 205: CO 9; US 6; Silverthorne and Exit 216: US 6; Loveland Pass (Eisenhower Tunnel) at Mile Point 213.5.
