Residents being evacuated are strongly encouraged to check in at the evac ctr at Chatfield HS. They do not need to stay there but if they check in we will know who has evacuated and we’ll get current contact info that will allow us to communicated directly with residents.

FULL EVACUATION now ordered for residents of Ken Caryl Valley. Evacuation site is Chatfield High School. Residents standby for Emergency Notification System message with additional information.

Fire is now mapped at 150 acres, air support en route, tanker 861 per colopilot. View from Lakewood at 3:55pm:

UPDATE: #OakFire- State is sending single engine air tanker (SEAT) from Ft. Collins. ETA- approx. an hour. Fire continues to push north and west. Evacuation has been lifted for Westerly Apartments.

Update: Total evacuation of Ken Caryl Valley. This is a mandatory evacuation. Please evacuate the area as quickly and safely as possible.

Emergency personnel have scaled back the evacuation order to pre-evacuation status for Ken Caryl Valley.

Alpha division in mop-up mode. Zulu division has active fire front. Air tanker is taxiing for take off and will be en route.

(The divisions are different sides of the fire)

The fire has laid down quite a bit with the sun going down, command doesn't expect it to get to the ridge tonight so they are advising a direct attack on the flames with the air tanker starting at the NW flank. Tanker should be arriving shortly.
