All evacuation orders are rescinded for Ken Caryl Valley at this time. No large animal evacuations are needed. We have substantial personnel fighting the fire on the ground and in the air. Things change rapidly so continue to monitor for changes. #OakFire

C470 is still closed in both directions between Ken Caryl and S Kipling, to allow for emergency vehicles.

Clearing crews for the night, will monitor overnight and return tomorrow morning.

UPDATE: #OakFire- WMFR will have crews on the fire throughout the evening. You can expect to potentially see smoke & hotspots along the hogback. Crews will be monitoring and working those hotspots. Thank you to the many agencies that assisted on the incident today.

UPDATE: #OakFire - The fire is determined to be human-caused. It started directly west of the Westerly Apts. (at Kipling & 470) in an open space area with several trails & heavy foot traffic. The specific cause is still under investigation. Fire is at 152 acres. Crews on scene.
