Smoke from a fast-moving fire in Boulder County is visible in NW JeffCo. There is currently no threat to our county. Please avoid traveling NB on CO 93 as affected residents are evacuating the area.

There's another grass fire that has started 22 miles north on Apple Valley Rd in Lyons that is reportedly threatening 3 structures only 50 yards away. Some resources now responding to that fire.

Media may stage on north side of NCAR parking lot. PIOs en route. Other community members are asked to stay away from the area so emergency crews can gain access. #NCARFire

Mutual aid that is arriving is staging at the south side of NCAR's parking lot.

Grass fire on Apple Valley Rd in Lyons extinguished by the homeowner, command terminated and all units returning.

A pair of hikers and a group of 15 hikers were missing/not returned from hikes near the NCAR Fire, LE was able to make contact with the group of 15 and they are headed toward Bear Peak Trail. No word yet on the pair of hikers.
