On April 20th, 2022 Park County went into a county wide fire ban due to extreme conditions. One fire was reported and worked off County Road 77 which burned approximately 15 acres. This fire has now been contained. Due to the recent heavy snowfall yesterday and last night we will suspend the fire ban until further notice. All message boards will remain up with the fire ban message due to the amount of manpower involved in placing those signs and due to the likelihood of going back into a full fire ban by the weekend. Any burn request has to be approved by the Chief of your local fire district. No open fires are permitted at any short-term rental under Park County Ordinance 20-03. Please continue to use caution with any campfires.
