Elk Creek Fire in on scene of a wildland fire in Wamblee Valley near Pinto Dr and Wamblee Trail in Conifer. Per cosmicowboy55, fire is approximately half an acre. A second call for assistance and mutual aid from Platte Canyon Fire requested.

Report: Slow to moderate spread, isolated torching. Attacking on the west flank. Need resources arriving to help secure perimeter around a home.

Wind is shifting, predominantly 5-10mph out of the west, gusting to 15mp. Flame lengths 1-2' in the grass, 10-20' elsewhere.

Cause of the fire is unknown. Spread is low to moderate, transitioning to mop up shortly and holding. ETA to containment at 1500 hours. Initial size-up at half an acre, estimating between 1-2 acres at this time.

Crews have transitioned to full mop up, CORE Electric is on scene to evaluate power lines. Asking for availability of medical services to be on standby for the fire.

#WambleeFire has stayed small, less than an acre. We are in the mop up stage and pre-evacs are being canceled. Fire response was tremendous in #Jeffco. #JCSO still on scene.
