Accident and car fire on Upper Bear Creek Rd, Evergreen

EFR is on-scene of a vehicle accident and fire extending into to the wildland on Upper Bear Creek Rd west of Golden Willow Rd. Please avoid the area to allow crews to work safely.

The accident last night was a fatality.

Thank you for your patience! Upper Bear Creek Rd is open in both directions and all emergency equipment and crews have cleared the accident scene.

UPDATE: EFR crews and law enforcement will be on-scene for an extended period of time working on extinguishment and investigation of an electric vehicle fire. Upper Bear Creek Rd will be closed west of Golden Willow Rd, please avoid the area.

Can you please disclose what the brand was of the electric vehicle? Thank you.

We do not have any information on the vehicle that was involved in the accident, that would be a question for Evergreen Fire Rescue or Colorado State Patrol.
